This header template is placed on talk pages of templates and modules to link to previous relevant TfD discussions.
Usage
{{Old TfD|date=|result=}}
e.g.
{{Old TfD|date=2026 October 27|result=keep}}
Discussion link
If you specify a <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline style="display: none;" />|talk= parameter (or any of its aliases) the template will attempt to use the date and the supplied talk section to produce a working link. For example: <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">
| This template was considered for deletion on 2020 October 17. The result of the discussion was no consensus. |
</syntaxhighlight> produces
| This template was considered for deletion on 2020 October 17. The result of the discussion was no consensus. |
Note how the link (with the piped text "the discussion") is a valid TfD link into a specific discussion on the supplied date.
Alternatively, supply the link using the <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline style="display: none;" />|link= parameter directly, in which case the template does not try to build a link using supplied date and talk parameters.
Old TfD naming scheme
For templates that survived a TfD debate before 4 January 2006, use <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline style="display: none;" />|link=Not deleted/MONTHNAME YEAR to modify the link to point to the relevant deletion discussion.
